EMHS provides Maine communities with access to the right care, at the right time, and in the right place, while striving for efficiencies to control costs. EMHS has more than 11,000 employees throughout the system, including nine hospitals, emergency transport companies, home health agencies, and numerous long-term care and assisted living facilities.

- Recruited and filled more than 4,080 employee positions fiscal year to date, statewide - a record for EMHS Talent Acquisition.
- EMHS continues working in Maine's seven northern counties as part of a United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention-funded initiative, Partnerships to Improve Community Health, with the goal to improve access to healthy foods, engagement in physical activity, and creating linkages between clinical care and community resources.
