POSITION SUMMARY: The CRNA reports to the Chief CRNA and Clinical Director of Anesthesiology for clinical matters and to the Vice President, Nursing for administrative matters. The CRNA is responsible for providing perioperative anesthesia services for patients of all ages in the OPSU, OR and PACU. The CRNA also provides acute pain management interventions in the OB Dept, emergency airway management and vascular access interventions throughout the hospital. The CRNA is expected to participate in covering the hospitals on call schedule equally with the other anesthetists.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Anesthetist program
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Two years of Anesthesia Nursing preferred
LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS: Active State of Maine Registered Nurse licensure.
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: BLS, ACLS and PALS certification required. Current Certification as a Nurse Anesthetist required.
