Job Details The Clinical Supervisor is a professional nurse registered/licensed in the State of Maine who assists in the management of their designated area. This person provides direct service to patients and families as dictated by needs of the unit, consistent with professional training and experience.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

1. Demonstrates knowledge and skill in providing nursing care appropriate to the age of the patient.

2. Has responsibility for the scheduling, coaching, and evaluation of nursing staff at the request of the manager.

3. Assists manager with hiring, termination, and disciplinary actions.

3. Responsible for the development, implementation, revision and reporting of the nursing Performance Improvement activities.

4. Responsible for assisting with the formulation of policies, procedures and staffing patterns essential to the achievement of a high standard of patient care.

5. Responsible for assisting with the compliance of the nursing area with JCAHO and state licensure requirements.

6. Responsibility for the training and ongoing education of RN, LPN and CNA/MA staff.

7. Comply with mandated education programs.

8. Accept responsibility for professional growth and development.

9. Demonstrate a commitment to the philosophy and objectives of the TAMC Organization.

LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: Current registration as an RN and is in good standing with the State of Maine.

EDUCATION SKILLS, EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: The minimal educational qualifications shall be graduation, in good standing, from an accredited school of nursing. The clinical supervisor must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in clinical nursing and an additional 2 years experience in nursing care of the patients within the required practice.
