Job Details Job Summary
The position of team leader is seen as a critical support role allowing Managers to focus on other strategic responsibilities in the daily management and operations of the service. As such, it is a selective position that requires self-discipline, the ability to solve problems, excellent interpersonal skills, and consistently high levels of integrity. The most successful team leaders are able to energize other crew members and engage them in helping to accomplish all shift goals without self-aggrandizing behavior working in collaboration with all other health care team members.

The Team Leader is expected to be a role model among employees, representing him or herself and the organization at the highest level at all times. They will lead by example and play a large role in keeping our service in a constant ready state. Their actions keep our employees safe, maintain our compliance with applicable rules and regulations, and ensure that we are providing the highest quality service in an expeditious manner.

EMT Paramedic or Advanced with a minimum of 2 years experience. Basic EMT with at least 3 years of experience.
Employed at SVH or EMHS member organization for at least 1 year
No disciplinary action beyond a verbal warning in the past 12 months
Regularly attends meetings/classes
Has taken or willing to take a leadership class approved by managers
Proficient with computer use
Must have ability to adapt to work situations, such as independent work and/or team enviornments.
Maintains harmonious work relationships
Complies with policies and procedures
Able to influence team members to complete assigned tasks/duties timely and thoroughly
Completes assigned duties within designated time frames
Provides outstanding customer service to patients, internal, and external customers

Physical Requirements
Occasional lifting-maximum50 pounds. Some reaching and bending required. Keen eyesight. Eye-hand coordination. Very active-fast paced. Workload requires mobility throughout out the hospital. Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
